I hereby
would like to introduce Wat Khuan Klang which is situated at 52/1 Moo 6, Thung
Yai Sub-district, Thung Yai District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. It was founded as a monastery for 6 rais, 1
ngan and 40 sq.wah area in Mr. Prom Songsanga’s land in 1969 under an assembly
of two villages for building and Phra Chom Piyatharo (Provost Piyasamathiwat)
as the current abbot was invited to be the Head of Monastery.
Under consent of Mr. Khampol
Chamnongchit and inhabitants, this monastery was proposed to be named as
“Klangsintharam” due to consistent meaning with the name of Ban “Khuan Klang”
by cutting the word of “Khuan” and then adding “Sintharam” for more tuneful
meaning. The building of temple in Buddhism was approved on June 20, 1997.
Later, it was approved for temple establishment on February 17, 1999 by Mr.
Panja Kesornthong, the Minister of Ministry of Education. As Sangha
Supreme Council of Thailand’s resolution, the consent in the 2006 Annual
Meeting No. 6 denominated it as “Wat Khuan Klang” according to village name up
to now. Wat Khuan Klang was royally conferred for Wisungcamasima (the conferred
area for monk to build hall of temple) pursuant to the announcement of Office
of the Prime Minister on January 22, 2007 countersigned for royal command by
General (ret.) Surayud Chulanont,
the Prime Minister.
Wat
Khuan Klang has many interesting spot and history that we can learn more.
Please visit the temple to see how beautiful and interesting the place is.
